Location and Directions

The workshop takes place at Plattenstrasse 14, which is the main building of the Swiss Banking Institute (see link below).

From the Airport to Zurich Main Station (Hauptbahnhof)

In order to get to Zurich main station, go to the railway station in the airport and take any train leaving in the direction of Zurich main station (Zürich Hauptbahnhof HB). The travel time to the main station is approximately 10 minutes. Before boarding the train, you have to purchase a ticket at one of the machines on the floor above the platforms. Press the left (red) key on the machine, where it says "Zurich". The machine prompts for CHF 6.-- and accepts coins as well as (exclusively!) CHF 20 bills and gives change. The ticket is valid for the next 2 hours for any train to Zurich as well as for all trams (small city trains) and busses in the city.

From Zurich Main Station to the University and the Swiss Banking Institute

The University of Zurich is very near to the main station. In order to get there, just take the tram number 6 heading for the Zoo and get out either at "ETH/Universitätsspital" (to get to the University) or "Platte" (to get to the SBI). You can board the tram at the station Bahnhofstrasse/HB south of the main station. For maps, please follow the Links listed below:

From Zurich Main Station to the hotel St. Josef

Cross the hall of the train station and leave by the "Bahnhofquai" exit (tram stop). Cross the bridge (Bahnhofbrücke) to Central. Cross Central and take the steps on to the road above the wall (Hirschengraben). The hotel St. Josef is situated a short distance along this road at Hirschengraben 64.

From Zurich Main Station to the hotel Plattenhof

Board the tram number 6 from Bahnhofstrasse, direction "Zoo" and get out at the station "Platte". From there, walk down the Plattenstrasse until you find the hotel to your right. It is located at the street number 26, a few meters away from the ISB main building.

From Zurich Main Station to the hotel Zürichberg

As described above, board the tram number 6 and get out at the terminus "Zoo". From there it is a walk of about 5 minutes up the hill – just follow the small road along the forest.
